Holy crap. Last night's episode of Prison Break just about made my brain melt. [ChandlerBingVoice]Could Michael and Sara be any hotter?[/ChandlerBingVoice] ( Nice girls finish last )
I really love How I Met Your Mother. Neil Patrick Harris is beyond hysterical, and that swordfight was awesome.
Watched CSI: Miami last night. I don't know why I continue to subject myself to that show. Mostly I just wanted to make sure they didn't kill off Ryan.

So, at long last, my beloved Everwood returned last night. Overall, I enjoyed it, but I'm still not sure it was worth that long of a wait. ( More thoughts behind the cut )
Also watched CSI: Miami (well, sort of; it was on, but I wasn't facing the TV most of the time). Show sucks so bad. Bleah. I really liked Ryan when they first introduced him, because he reminded me a lot of Greg Sanders, but ever since, a very large stick has been growing out of his ass and he has become annoying. Is this leading to some big downfall for him?
Nooo! Valera is one of the few redeeming characters on this show! She better not be gone for good. Hell, Catherine blew up the whole fucking lab and didn't get fired. Maybe Ryan will take his stick out of his ass long enough to help her?
Delko, you stupid man-whore. Not only is he engaging in anonymous sex, but he wears his badge to his hookups? Whatever. Apparently, he's mourning Speedle? I didn't quite get that part. Although yay for actually mentioning him...
As always: Shut UP, Horatio.

I watched the season premiere of The O.C. last night. I watched religiously when it first premiered summer '03, but then it was on a bad night, and I sort of drifted. Now that it's up against Joey and Will & Grace, I have no problem returning my allegiance to Josh Schwartz.
( A few thoughts )
So, has anyone else noticed that Jonathan Togo, the new guy on CSI: Miami is the same actor that is in that creepy DirecTV Sunday Ticket commercial, where he decides he's dreaming, because Carmen Electra is hitting on him, but has the body of his high-school gym teacher? I noticed it the other day, and it weirded me out.
Bought Arrested Development on DVD at Sam's Club on Wednesday. Now I have to marathon it before the season premiere on Sunday. Not sure how that's going to work.
Finally bought the Franz Ferdinand CD, and LOVE!
Loved both CSI and Without a Trace last night. Kudos to CSI for returning to the blue paint killer storyline. I've been waiting for that since the night "The Execution of Catherine Willows" first aired. I wasn't overly pleased with the ended, but c'est la vie.
Cannot believe WaT pulled a "To be continued" on us with no warning like that! Still, great episode, especially with regard to the Martin/Sam/Jack(ick) dynamic. ( Speculation )
Going to a friend's place tomorrow to watch ND football (not that I particularly care about the game), and I'm hoping his cute friend N is there again. Maybe I can finally find out N's last name--and whether or not he's single. :)

Ugh. Everwood just kills me. I love this show beyond reason, even though it makes me weepy all the time. ( Episode thoughts and rants )
You know, I keep watching CSI: Miami week after week, even though I hate the HoCaine and miss the Speedle. I'm kinda digging the new OriginalFlavorGreg-Clone, though. Is he going to be a regular? Will he ever make the credits? Oh, and yay for Teal Redmann getting some post-Gilmore Girls work!
Speaking of the various CSI incarnations...I'm loving NY. I'm still mildly peeved that they felt it necessary to set yet another cop show in NYC, but the Sinise helps make up for it. (Chicago would so be better, though.) And I like Melina Kanka-whatever, even though Providence was lame. Tag-from-Friends is cute and way less annoying than he was as Tag, and the other male character--Danny?--is adorable.
Still loving Desperate Housewives. ( Speculation and other thoughts )
Am kind of freaked out because my room smells like perfume, and I don't know where it's coming from...

First up: Desperate Housewives.
screaming_mimie, I'm very sorry to hear that you hated the show, because I absolutely loved it. Loved it, loved it, loved it. I kept cracking up. Marcia Cross kicks all sorts of ass when playing mentally unbalanced women, Teri Hatcher is incredibly endearing, I could do without Nicolette Sheridan, James Denton is too hot for words, and I still have a huge soft spot for Steven Culp. I will definitely be tuning in to this one every week--I really want to find out what Mary Alice's big secret was.
And now, on to Everwood. This was definitely my favorite episode so far this season, primarily because it had lots and lots of yummy Bright goodness. ( More gushing )
I can't seem to stop watching CSI: Miami, even though I loathe David Caruso with the burning fire of a thousand suns. ( Spoilers for tonight's ep and speculation )
Still no luck in the job search. It's been two and a half weeks since I went to see the engineering recruiter, and no word so far. And I haven't gotten any response from the two jobs I applied for on my own. It's discouraging, especially since I have continued to check for possible positions online, and nothing more looks promising.

Huh. Interesting. ( Contains spoilers for CSI: Miami and Without a Trace )
And apparently, according to E! Online, Jorja Fox and possible George Eads will be returning for S5 of CSI after all. Dammit, I really wasn't going to miss the looming possibility of Sara/Grissom. Blech.
Watched the premiere of Rescue Me on FX last night, 'cause, y'know, I need to watch even more TV. The show was very good, although I'm not having the post-orgasmic meltdown about it that some of the TWoP posters are. Denis Leary is pretty much perfect in the role, but the part where he ( here be spoilers ) Still, it's definitely worth watching, although Wednesday really isn't a convenient night for me.
In non-fandom news, my godson's baby brother is teething, and he seems to like using my face as a teething ring. It doesn't really hurt--he only has two teeth--but the drool I could live without. When I pull him away from my face, he generally latches onto my arm. He's ridiculously cute, and incredibly curious about everything. He's seven months old today, which is a fun age. Unfortunately, he also spit up on me last night, which wasn't so fun.

I am officially completely, utterly, and irrevocably sick of snow. I know that compared to places like the Michigan Upper Peninsula, we really don’t have that much. But you know what? There’s a reason I don’t live in the UP.
But on to more fannish things, because I’m pretty sure y’all don’t want to read about the weather.
I am so in love with Everwood, it’s not even funny. It hasn’t quite supplanted CSI as my favorite show, but it’s coming close. The acting on the show never fails to astound me. It’s a travesty that the WB has garnered a rather unfair reputation for being inferior to the “Big 4” networks, because a number of their shows are far superior to the dreck on ABC, FOX, et al. Everwood is one of those shows. The cast is truly amazing. When was the last time there was such a realistic portrayal of teenagers on TV? They even look like teenagers! It hearkens back to the late, great My So-Called Life. Emily Van Camp is an exceptional young talent, even though I don’t especially like her character. When placed alongside other “young female leads” such as Mischa Barton, Kristen Kreuk, and Hilarie Burton, the level of her talent is even more amazing.
( More squeeage about the EW cast )
Needless to say, I watched last night’s episode, and while it wasn’t my favorite one ever, I still enjoyed it. ( Contains spoilers for 2/9/04 episode )
In other TV news, CSI: Miami just really isn’t a very good show. I did two crossword puzzles while I “watched.” It’s…boring. And there wasn’t enough Speed last night.
