Francis Capra, where's weevil?, vm, Weevil
As someone who has struggled with her complexion for the better part of twenty years, I say this with the utmost sympathy: Francis Capra needs to see a dermatologist, stat.

Beyond that, I found the episode enjoyable, but not great. Hey! It's Wallace! )

I really, really enjoy NCIS. All the characters are so great, the cases are almost secondary. I thought Abby's Halloween costume was great, and I loved the reactions it garnered. I just adore the relationship between Abby and Gibbs, and I can't help 'shipping them a wee bit.

Since Gilmore Girls was a rerun and I watched Friday Night Lights on Monday, I was able to watch the first hour of Dancing with the Stars. I think I want Joey Lawrence to win, although I'm not invested in this season the way I was with S2.

Tuesday night TV

James Marsden
Well, Dancing with the Stars has sucked me in for yet another season. I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to juggle all the shows airing on Tuesday night, but I'll do my best.

But back to DwtS. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel, having an entirely new group of people to root for and/or despise. They're still scraping, if not the bottom, then at least the sides, of the barrel to come up with their "stars," but I don't care. There is awesomeness in the cheese and D-list-ness of it all.

I forgot how bad the music is )

Also watched Nip/Tuck last night. I pretty much missed S3, but I was intrigued enough by the promos to give it another shot. Cue Christian's ass )

Ah, Grey's Anatomy. Just when I start to think you can't possibly maintain such a high level of awesomeness, you prove me wrong. I admit, I was a little nervous at the end of last week's episode, fearing the inevitable George/Meh fallout. Turns out, I needn't have worried.

K-k-k-karma )

In other news, I got to meet [info]mrs_boyscout yesterday. She's just as sweet and awesome in person as she is on lj, and her daughter is too cute for words. Unfortunately, the little munchkin wasn't feeling well (she actually got sick all over the couch while I was there), so I didn't stay too long. Still, it was quite fun, and I'm very sad that she's moving soon!

I still have to write two ficlets from last week's free-for-all, but I haven't forgotten, I promise!

And finally, I am beyond thrilled with the results of Dancing with the Stars. To quote Drew, WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Fandom and fingers

Veronica/Lamb
Ripped open my finger trying to change a fuse on my car this afternoon (which was a total waste of time, since the fuse ended up not being the problem), and it hurts like a bitch. And no, I didn't actually hurt myself in the act of fuse-changing, but rather in trying to wrestle the plastic panel out of the glovebox in order to get at the damn fuse panel.

For the record, I very much enjoyed this week's Veronica Mars. I've never been a big Duncan fan, mostly because he bored the ever-living crap out of me in 95% of his scenes. About the only times I found him compelling were the big Rape Confrontation and when he beat the holy hell out of the car when he found out about Veronica and Logan. Of all the cast regulars, the only one I would have been less sorry to see go was the delightfully absent and so far utterly useless Jackie. Teddy Dunn proved himself a capable actor a few times, but mostly Duncan came off as rather robotic.

Loved all the Lamb scenes in the episode (particular when he held up the handcuffs), enjoyed Xena's guest appearance, and got a huge kick out of Logan and Weevil working together. Quite the dynamic duo. Also, Weevil getting inked? Hot.

Keith broke my heart this episode...the fallout from his distrust of Veronica should prove interesting.

I've gotten completely sucked into the brain-candy that is Dancing with the Stars. It's total entertaining fluff, and somewhat less malicious than American Idol (which I'm also watching). I'm rooting for Drew Lachey, or all people, but I'm also loving Tia Carrere and Lisa Rinna. (Holy fuck, does LR have an amazing body. How old is she? Sheesh.)

Has anyone else seen Kingdom of Heaven? I Netflixed it about a week ago, and I was utterly bored the first hour or so. It got better eventually, but for the longest time, I was like, who are these people and does this movie have a point?
